What are the dates of the conference?
Momentum Lisbon will be held from Monday 25th October to Thursday 28th October 2010.
What is Virtual Momentum?
Virtual Momentum Lisbon is a cost-effective solution for organisations who wish to be able to offer more of their employees the tremendous amount of educational content Momentum Lisbon has to offer. Virtual attendees receive access to:

What type of sessions can I expect at Momentum?
A wide selection of sessions will be offered at the conference, ranging from executive sessions for CIOs and line-of-business managers to extremely technical presentations for developers and advanced EMC software users.
What are EMC Fundamentals?
Held on Monday 25th October, EMC Fundamentals sessions will provide you with a baseline understanding of key business application areas, such as enterprise content management, collaboration, records management, digital asset management, information governance, information access and more. New users are encouraged to attend these sessions to attain a basic understanding of all the possibilities EMC software solutions afford. What are EMC Tutorials?
Held on Monday 25th October, EMC Tutorials are specialised workshops that devote significant time to particular areas of interest and offer best practices that attendees can implement to achieve their development and deployment initiatives. Tutorials are free of charge to all registrants prior to the early bird deadline of 10th September 2010. Go to Sessions: EMC Tutorials.

REGISTRATION
Who should attend Momentum Lisbon?
Momentum is open to all EMC customers, partners, and other members of the EMC community. A wide variety of individuals will benefit from attending Momentum - including application developers, consultants, project managers, executives, e-business directors, Web developers, engineers, IT professionals, system administrators, line-of-business managers, and end users.
What is the registration cost for attending Momentum? Are any special discounts available?

How do I register to attend the conference?
Go to the Registration section of this website, and register online.
May I register at the conference?
Yes, attendees may register on-site.
Can I bring a guest to Momentum's social events?
Social Guest passes for evening social events are available for purchase once you have registered to attend the conference. Social guests are not permitted to attend any conference sessions, or daily meals, and must be at least 18 years old.
Badges
Your name badge is required for admission to all conference sessions, events and evening activities.
Visa Letters
If you are traveling from a country that requires you to obtain a visa letter, please indicate so at the appropriate section in the registration process. The Momentum Conference Office will then help you obtain your visa letter.
HOTEL & TRAVEL
Are special hotel rates available for Momentum attendees?
The Momentum organisers have negotiated special rates with all official Momentum Hotels. See the Accommodation section for full details of the hotel reservation process.
Transportation to the Lisbon Congress Centre
EMC will provide transportation between the Lisbon Congress Centre and the official Momentum conference hotels each conference day. Attendees staying at other hotels will be responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation to and from the event.
How do I make my hotel reservation for the conference?
Conference registration for Momentum does not include hotel accommodation, so you must make your reservations directly with your preferred Momentum conference hotel via the Accommodation section.

MISCELLANEOUS
What is the weather like in Lisbon in October?
Due to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, Lisbon has a pleasant climate throughout the year. Although the temperatures may fall somewhat in the autumn and winter months, sunshine is almost always a constant feature with average temperatures in October anywhere between 10°c and 20°c. What should I wear during the conference?
Because Momentum is set in a relaxed, professional atmosphere, attire for the conference is business casual. Meeting room temperatures can be cool and the climate may vary, so it is recommended that you wear layered clothing for comfort. Again smart casual is required for the evening events.
What should I do if I require special assistance or have special dietary needs?
During the conference registration process, you will be asked if you have any special needs or requests. If you require special assistance or have particular dietary needs, please complete the appropriate section when registering for the conference.
How can I be contacted by other attendees while at the conference?
A message board will be set up on-site in a central location, offering attendees an area to post and receive messages throughout the conference.
